During my frantic weekend, I happened to chat with my sister about the new diet that she is trying. I refrained from commenting that she didn't need to diet, her size 10 dress looked fantastic on her, but she has always been thinner than me and worked hard at looking her best. However I did get the details about the diet, as it seemed to be quite different to others I had heard about.
After seeing this picture, knowing I have my gut sucked in, I decided that I REALLY needed to loose weight.
So on Monday, weighing in at 76.4, I started the diet. I had not planned for it but I thought I could make do. The difference with this diet is there is an attack phase of 2-5 days where only protein is eaten. Mondays menu consisted of plain yogurt, ham, eggs and steak. It was very different to my normal diet which has a lot of fruit and veggies.
Yesterday I weighed in at 75.6 and I thought that isn't too bad but it could be my normal weight fluctuations. I found also that I wasn't hungry all the time like I normally am and still had lots of energy. I decided that reading up a bit more about it and educating myself was a good idea. I found a lot of good websites and blogs that give great tips, I just wish I had saved their URLs.
Anyway, when I weighed in this morning at 74.8 I was pleasantly surprised. I am going to give the attack phase one more day, today, and then move to consolidation, which is slowly adding in vegetables. I was even eating out today and managed to eat only chicken wings and sausages at the BBQ but did accidentally drink a glass of juice. I hope that doesn't stuff things up toooo much.
Well, I'll keep updating as I go, and let you know what the result it. Hopefully it will be a continual gradual weight loss. Fingers crossed.
