Christmas craftiness

This Christmas, for a number of reasons, I have decided to make a lot of the presents we are giving to family. To add another dimension to my insanity I have only 3 days between finishing work for the year and going on holidays to get all of them made.

I have planned thoroughly by buying supplies and pre cutting a lot of the fabric but it is still going to be a very tight timeline.

First up I am making "cookies in a jar" that I found on the web when searching for home made gift ideas. Seriously who doesn't like homemade cookies, particularly when you don't have to fiddle about with all the ingredients?

Secondly I am making personalized Santa sacks for my daughters, niece and nephew. I hope they get filled each year with interesting bits and bobs for the kids.  Photos coming as a good friend is embroidering them with the kids names.

However I was able to finish a nappy and top set for my niece's doll.  She loves her 'babies', dressing them, putting them to bed, feeding and changing them.

Another gift which was easy to make but also easy to personalise was makeup purses.  I have lined them with PUL to give them waterproofing without the bulkiness of plastic.

The thing I will be making this year is a table runner for my parents dining table.  It is a lovely large table, with beautiful polish that I worry every time I eat at it that I will scratch.  So not only will I be making a present for my mum, I will also feel more confident with my children eating at her table.
